Halmstraat 16, onderdeel van een vroeg-20e-eeuwse uitbreiding van het toenmalige dorp Hoogkerk. Als onderdeel van Strokartonfabriek De Halm werden deze huizen oorspronkelijk gebouwd als opzichterswoningen. De gemeente acht ze dan ook "van bijzondere waarde". De indeling is zoals je die het liefst ziet; door de voordeur kom je in de lange gang naar achteren eindigend in de keuken.
